Introduction to Metallic 3D Printing

 Metallic 3D printing, or metal additive manufacturing, is an advanced fabrication method that builds three-dimensional objects layer by layer using processes like Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) and Directed Energy Deposition (DED). It utilizes a variety of metal alloys, allowing for customized components with specific properties. This technology is widely applied in aerospace for lightweight, complex parts and in the medical field for personalized implants and prosthetics. The precision and efficiency of metallic 3D printing make it a transformative force in advanced manufacturing.

MELTIO M450

 The Meltio M450 is an advanced industrial-grade metal 3D printing system designed to deliver high-quality and precise metal parts. It combines the benefits of both laser metal deposition (LMD) and selective laser melting (SLM) technologies, offering a versatile solution for various manufacturing applications. 



 With the Meltio M450, users can work with a wide range of metal materials, including titanium, stainless steel, Inconel, aluminum, and more. The system features a dual-laser setup that enables faster printing speeds while maintaining excellent accuracy. This allows for rapid production of complex geometries and intricate designs. 

ULTIMAKER

 The Ultimaker S5 is a professional-grade 3D printer known for its reliability and highquality performance. It is designed for users who require precision and consistency in their 3D printing projects. The Ultimaker S5 offers a spacious build volume, allowing users to create larger prints or multiple prints simultaneously. 

HUNTER DLP PRINTER

 The HUNTER DLP printer is an advanced and innovative 3D printer that utilizes the Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology. DLP technology uses a digital projector to cure liquid resin layer by layer, resulting in highresolution and highly accurate 3D prints.

ELIGIBILITY OF PARTICIPANTS

IDEA LAB FDP is open to faculty members, Ph.D. Scholars PG and UG Students of AICTE or UGC recognized educational institutions, technical universities/deemed universities and other research/ training institutions. The participants should be nominated by the college principle/director/dean for better accountability to attend the FDP. 

Priority would be given to participants from other AICTE IDEA Lab of the country and faculty members of affiliated college (max 2 members).

  • There is no registration fee .

  • Step 2: Enter the details mentioned in the form
  • Step 3: Click the plus submit button to register.
  • Submit filled forms by JULY 22, 2023 for selection based on the availability of seats, following a first-come, first-served approach.
