Offer this internship with no training or registration fees, ensuring that talent and passion are the only prerequisites for participation. This removes financial barriers and opens doors to students from diverse backgrounds to access valuable learning experiences.

 The Summer Internship 2024 at AICTE IDEA Lab-GGSIPU is designed to be a transformative experience where students can learn, grow, and contribute to the world of innovation. We aim to inspire and empower the next generation of problem solvers, innovators, and leaders. 

PROPOSED AREA

Application are invited from UG/PG students to work on prototype development project during summer 2024 at AICTE IDEA Lab-GGSIPU on following area: 


  • Project based on IoT and Embedded System Design
  • Design and Development of Robot
  • Design and Development of Drone
  • Design and Development of project using 3D printer/Laser Engraver/CNC wood Router

Project based on IoT and Embedded System Design

 Overview: The Internet of Things (IoT) and Embedded System Design are revolutionizing the way we interact with technology. In this focus area, interns will dive into the world of IoT, where devices are interconnected to collect and exchange data. Embedded systems, on the other hand, involve the design of specialized computer systems that perform dedicated functions.

Learning Opportunities:

  • IoT Fundamentals: Understand the principles of IoT, including sensor networks, data analytics, and cloud computing.
  • Embedded Systems Design: Learn to design and develop systems with microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators.
  • Prototyping: Work on real-world projects to create prototypes that demonstrate IoT applications in various industries such as healthcare, smart cities, and agriculture.

 Skills Gained:

  • Programming: Gain proficiency in programming languages commonly used in IoT and embedded systems such as C, C++, Python, and Java.
  • Hardware Integration: Learn to integrate sensors, actuators, and microcontrollers to create functional systems.

Design and Development of Robots

Overview: Robots are at the forefront of technological advancement, playing crucial roles in industries ranging from manufacturing to healthcare. In this focus area, interns will explore the fascinating field of robotics, from designing robotic systems to programming their functionalities.

Learning Opportunities:

  • Robotics Fundamentals: Understand the principles of robot design, kinematics, and control systems.
  • Programming Robots: Learn to program robots using languages such as ROS (Robot Operating System), Python, and C#.
  • Mechanical Design: Gain insights into the mechanical aspects of robotics, including 3D modeling and fabrication.


 Skills Gained:

  • Robot Programming: Develop skills in robot motion planning, manipulation, and navigation.
  • Robotics Simulation: Use simulation tools to test and validate robot designs before physical implementation.
  • Team Collaboration: Experience working in teams to design, build, and test functional robots for specific tasks.

Design and Development of Drones

Overview: Drones, also known as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), have transformed industries such as agriculture, aerial photography, and disaster management. In this focus area, interns will explore the design, development, and applications of drones.

Learning Opportunities:

  • Drone Technology: Understand the components of drones, including flight controllers, sensors, and cameras.
  • Drone Flight Dynamics: Learn about aerodynamics, flight stability, and control algorithms.
  • Remote Sensing: Explore how drones are used for data collection and mapping purposes.

 Skills Gained:

  • Drone Assembly: Gain hands-on experience in assembling and configuring drones.
  • Flight Testing: Conduct flight tests to analyze drone performance and stability.
  • Aerial Imaging: Learn to capture and process aerial images and videos for various applications.

Design and Development of project using 3D printer/Laser Engraver/CNC wood Router

Overview:3D printing, laser engraving, and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) wood routing are revolutionizing manufacturing and prototyping. In this focus area, interns will explore these advanced technologies to create innovative projects.

Learning Opportunities:

  • 3D Printing: Understand the principles of additive manufacturing and use 3D printers to create prototypes.
  • Laser Engraving: Learn to use laser engravers for precision marking and cutting on various materials.
  • CNC Wood Routing: Explore the world of computer-controlled wood routing for intricate designs and shapes.

 Skills Gained:

  •  CAD (Computer-Aided Design): Learn to design 3D models using software such as AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or SolidWorks.
  • Machine Operation: Gain hands-on experience in operating 3D printers, laser engravers, and CNC routers.
  • Material Selection: Understand the properties of different materials and their suitability for specific applications.
